Project 5: Dialogue -  Create a 5-10 second dialogue acting piece using any technique or program that you’ve worked with so far - Frame by Frame, Stop Motion or After Ef- fects. https://youtu.be/_YTAQCBHV8Q I chose to do a part of a scene from a youtube skit called "Marcel the shell with shoes on". I cut and pasted the audio to fir what I needed. I draw the scene and the character in SketchbookPro and made the mouth and put everything together in AfterEffects.
Assignment 4: Bouncing Ball in Environment  Re-create the bouncing ball in an environment created in After Ef- fects. The ball must encounter and react to at least one obstacle.  We had to take a bouncing ball and in a way "Animate" it in an environment and have it interact with an object. I built a castle and had the ball hit a wall that was near it. My first idea was to actually have the ball bounce into the castle but  I  couldn't come up with anything for it to interact with.
Project 3: Weight:  Have your character interact with a weight. You may use or reference any part of your walk cycle to create an introduction to the scene/have your character approach the object to be lifted. As you could see from my previous post I really like animals. I work in a  pet store  so if I'm not taking care of the pets then im  watching them/looking after them. I find hamsters interesting. When we were given this project the first thing that came to mind was a hamster boarding its food and struggling to move it all. Which I have seen a lot at work.
Assignment 3: Walk Cycle: Create a Walk Cycle Animation for a character (can be an original character or an existing one). Have the character walk across the stage towards an object that they will, in the next project, interact with. For my walk cycle  I  wanted to do something different than everyone else. Since most people are comfortable just drawing two legs I really wanted to challenge myself. Since I own both a rabbit and a cat I had plenty of footage of them walking/runnin to be able to study it and see what they looked like to be able to make the frames. The biggest problem I ran into was syncing up both the cycles. In the end I just ended up adding a couple more frames to my rabbit so it would be a bit smoother.
Project 2: Rotoscope .  Create a frame-by-frame animation from a live action sequence, roughly 10 seconds long. Emphasis on smoothness, line consistency and volume control. I decided to do a dance scene from the Kpop group EXO. There was supposed to be sound, however my video decided to not want to cooperate. It still looks pretty good to me. I killed myself with choosing to do two characters. The actual footage also made it difficult having to keep track of their feet because there was dense fog on the ground. In the end I think it worked out very well. This was the scene where I took the clip from that also has the  mosaic  that was supposed to be in it.
Project 1: Stop Motion Short Film Group Project.  Create an experi- mental stop motion animation at least 10 seconds long, emphasizing one of the 12 Pricinples of Anima- tion. Needs to have a beginning, middle and end and has a complete idea. Must have sound, but the ani- mation does not have to be synced to it. I through out the theme of a stuffed animal coming to life(I like horror movies) and my group liked the idea because it was something simple and easy toward with and do in a limited time with renting out our equipment. The process took a  little  under an hour to film the whole sequence.  It was pretty fun(definitely had its share of the giggles).  I operated the camera and took the pictures(which would eventually be made into our stop motion), Aury moved the stuffed animal and helped with line up shots, Taylor was our actress as well as the final editor, we all pitched in for sound effects and back round music. Like our first project of makin...
Assignment 2: Bouncing Ball (Stop Motion) Create a short animation of a bouncing ball within an environ- ment that will change the speed/ trajectory of the ball at least twice. Keep in mind gravity, weight and using squash and stretch to create exaggeration. No set length, as long as it’s long enough to encompass the bouncing ball at 24 frames per second. After seeing some in class examples my group and  I  tossed around ideas. Someone mentioned the game 'Fruit Ninja' and that got me thinking about Pacman(for some reason). We decided to combine the two and add in the topic of the 'Bouncing Ball'.  I took some different colored construction paper that I drew the shapes onto and cut them out. Making sure I have enough different shapes to show the affect of a ball bouncing. It had its difficulties because it is stop motion animation. It was made slightly easier because the equipment we had has the program Dragonframe on it that allows you to use something...

Hello, I'm Jen. I love watching animation and breaking it down. I'm a decent artists but as with most artists I never really like y own work. For some reason I cannot draw a quarter view of a face. I'm hoping to learn to be better at that and how to make my characters not look like they have the body of slender man. For digital Media/Art I like working behind the scenes editing and adding effects to videos. However, to be well rounded I'm trying to work on both aspects.
