Assignment 2: Bouncing Ball (Stop Motion)
Create a short animation of a bouncing ball within an environ- ment that will change the speed/ trajectory of the ball at least twice. Keep in mind gravity, weight and using squash and stretch to create exaggeration. No set length, as long as it’s long enough to encompass the bouncing ball at 24 frames per second.

After seeing some in class examples my group and I tossed around ideas. Someone mentioned the game 'Fruit Ninja' and that got me thinking about Pacman(for some reason). We decided to combine the two and add in the topic of the 'Bouncing Ball'.
I took some different colored construction paper that I drew the shapes onto and cut them out. Making sure I have enough different shapes to show the affect of a ball bouncing.

It had its difficulties because it is stop motion animation. It was made slightly easier because the equipment we had has the program Dragonframe on it that allows you to use something called 'Onion Skin'(basically it shows an opaque image of the last thing you took a shot of). This definitely helped with moving each piece individually in the right path so there would be more fluidity of movement.
The final product was exported as a small video clip and that was that. All in all with the process of cutting out everything, moving objects and taking each picture probably took around 2 1/2 hours to complete with a team of three.
It was definitely a fun and new experience.
